We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our busy GP Practice. The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care, supporting both clinical and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities
Perform phlebotomy in accordance with practice protocols
Support the management and monitoring of Long-Term Conditions (LTCs)
Carry out 24-hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM)
Perform and record ECGs
Deliver adult vaccinations and immunisations in line with national guidelines
Provide basic wound care and dressings
Accurately record clinical data in patient records
Ensure infection control and health & safety standards are maintained
Support clinicians with patient care and health promotion activities
Essential Requirements
Previous experience working as an HCA or in a similar healthcare role
Competency in phlebotomy
Experience in a primary care or GP practice setting (preferred)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Desirable Skills & Experience
Experience in LTC management
Competency in ABPM and ECG recording
Experience administering adult vaccinations
Knowledge of basic wound care
Experience in asthma management (desirable but not essential)
