PA Preceptorships Update

Funding for Physician Associates Preceptorships will be paused starting April 2026. We will keep you informed should there be any updates or changes to this decision. As a result, preceptorship funding for primary care physician associates (now assistants) will not be available for the 2026-27 period until further notice.

We want to express our sincere appreciation to everyone who has contributed to and continues to support physician associates. Your dedication has been invaluable. The PA programme is currently undergoing changes following the Leng Review, and additional information will be published both on the NHSE website and the London PA Futures page as it becomes available.
