- Study for a degree at Level 6 at University : The 18-month Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship (RNDA) is an accelerated “top-up” route designed for qualified Nursing Associates (NAs) to become fully Registered Nurses
- You will need support from your manager to do this apprenticeship and all training involved
- Upon successful completion of your work-based learning University Degree, you will be able to register as a Qualified Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) – https://www.nmc.org.uk/
Duration
The course length is generally 18 months – 2 years, and you must be in employment for the entire length of the apprenticeship.
Funding
- Any applicant MUST have correct UK Right to Work status for the entire duration of the programme as requested by the educational provider.
- The employing practice/entity should have the Gov DAS account set up in advance of the apprenticeship starting to allow the learner to start.
- Funding for the learners tuition fees are covered by the apprenticeship scheme and there is an additional training grant available equating to £8,808 per year (correct for the 2026/2027 fiscal year) from NHS England to help support with leaner supervision and learning support payable to the employing practice.
