Practice Manager and PCN Manager CPD support

North West London Training Hub have launched a CPD programme for practice and PCN managers to access training and development opportunities otherwise not funded.

Up to £1,500 is available per PCN to support leadership, management, operational and professional development training relevant to the role.

As funding is allocated at PCN level we encourage PCNs to agree locally how they wish to prioritise and use their allocation before applications are submitted.

Approval is at the discretion of the PCN’s leadership, via the Clinical Director (CD) or PCN Manager. Where the applicant is the PCN Manager, approval should be provided by the CD or another appropriate PCN leader.

Examples of suitable programmes include;

  • NHS Leadership Academy programmes
  • ILM/CMI leadership qualifications
  • HR and workforce development training
  • finance and contract management courses
  • quality improvement and governance programmes
  • project and change management qualifications
  • digital transformation or data analytics training

This is not an exhaustive list, and PCNs may support other development opportunities where they meet an identified local need and the funding criteria.
