Interested in Primary Care Nursing
Nurses who are newly qualified and want to work in Primary Care, or registered nurses wishing to transition into Primary Care from another nursing area, can be supported to do so via the GPN Academic Programme. This is a fully funded 12 month course leading to a PgDip or Specialist qualification in General Practice Nursing. Part of your time is spent at university and part of your time will be at a GP Practice, where you will be an employed member of the team and paid a full time salary for the duration of the course. North West London Training Hub coordinate the recruitment of nurses wanting to specialise in General Practice through this route, and facilitate the delivery of the training programme with participating Practices. The GPN Academic programme usually runs in September and January each year, in line with university start dates. Recruitment interviews for the Academic programme take place through us, several months before.
Please read the course overview and eligibility criteria document. If you meet the criteria, please fill in an application form statement and attach your CV via the form below. Please note – you must live in our North West London boroughs to apply through us. This is an initial expression of interest and not a guaranteed place on a course. We review application statements regularly and will be in touch with you after review.
