Rapid Access Chest Pain Clinics (RACPC) were developed to prvide urgent assessment and doagnosis for patients with recent onset chest pain that may be related to heart disease, to quickly and effeciently enable timely diagnosis and treatemnt to redcue the risk of complications and improve patient outcomes.

High demand for RACPC has led to challenges with compettion for resources inparticular access to cardiac CT, this has led to variation across the country in waiting times for RACPC.
