Practice Nurse – Hillcrest Surgery, Acton – Posted 8th May 2024

We are looking to expand our workforce and are seeking to recruit one or two part-time Practice Nurses to start as soon as possible in our GP Practice. We are involved in teaching, training and research and there will be opportunities to develop the role within the practice. We provide primary care services for 8500 patients and have a team of over 25 clinical and non-clinical staff. Our Practice Nurses are a vital part of that team. As well as wound care, childhood immunisations, cervical screening, travel advice, family planning and adult injections we encourage our Nurses to be involved in chronic disease management and use and build their skills in asthma/COPD and diabetic care. All chronic disease management is done as part of a multi-disciplinary team with plenty of support and opportunity to develop.

We welcome applications from Nurses who have just completed their primary care training to experienced Practice Nurses. All applicants must have completed training and be signed off as competent in cervical cytology and childhood immunisations.

Later this year we are moving to a purpose-fitted premises in the centre of Acton (500m from our current location).

Pay £18.90-£25 per hour depending on experience.
