Anticoagulation Update Training
This training is an update for staff who are not new to monitoring and need an update this will cover:
Warfarin
- the do’s don’ts and managing INR’s.
- Normal levels (target ranges)
- What to do with a high INR and a low INR. (who needs LMWH and when and why)
- Patient education for warfarin.
DOACS:
- Do’s and Don’ts
- Initiation
- Monitoring
- Patient education
- How and why to reduce doses as per guidelines
This training is for Nurses, Nursing Associates, Health Care Support Workers, Pharmacists and GP’s. Anyone with a role in the monitoring of anticoagulation therapy
