This Training is for staff new to monitoring and will cover:
Warfarin
- the do’s don’ts and managing INR’s.
- Normal levels (target ranges)
- What to do with a high INR and a low INR.
- How to use the INR machine. Best practice
- How to use INRstar, and levels of responsibility
- Patient education for warfarin.
DOACS:
- Do’s and Don’ts
- Initiation
- Monitoring
- Patient education
- How and why to reduce doses as per guidelines
This training is for Nurses, Nursing Associates, Health Care Support Workers, Pharmacists and GP’s. Anyone with a role in the monitoring of anticoagulation therapy
This training will be hosted online.
