Performing ECG Training
This session is for those who have not done Performing ECG Training before.
The session will cover:
- Introduction to heart disease, basic anatomy and physiology , risk factors , preventable / modifiable and non- modifiable risks
- MI , angina , stroke and TIAs , heart failure looking at signs and symptoms – the types of investigations patients have to get their diagnosis
- MECC opportunities and identification via NHS health checks etc and the wider team / support available for all
- Taking an accurate ECG
- Getting the room and the patient ready
- Dos and don’ts
- Pre attendance advice , correct positioning of electrodes , ensuring result readability , processes to follow re: who will interpret, information given to patients
This training if for HCAs.
GPAs, pharmacists, nurses can attend if they require this training
