Complete Course for participants who have not undertaken any prior learning to become a practice Assessor.

This training will equip your nurse with the fundamentals of teaching and supporting learners in practice. This will enhance the nurse’s knowledge and will be a step towards becoming a nurse educator.

This course has been rebuilt from the ground up, using the 2019 NMC’s Standards for Student Supervision and Assessment. The course has been re-designed to be more engaging and interactive.

You will be expected to have your camera on and participate in the conversations as if it was a normal classroom environment. Quizzes throughout the course will be used to assess learning.

This is a 2-day course – both days must be attended in full and attendance will be tracked for anyone who is new to supervising and assessing students.

Completing this course will equip you with the skill set needed to support students.

Those who complete the course can be allocated a student nurse placement to host. Additional follow-up sessions and guidance will be available to further support you when you start hosting students. More details will be discussed during the course.

The dates for day 1 and 2 are as follows:

Day 1 Thursday 23rd May 2024 09.00 – 15.30
Day 2 Friday 7th June 2024 09.00 – 14.00

You will need to attend BOTH days 1 + 2 consecutively. This training will be hosted online via Teams

CPD:
After completing the Day 1 and Day 2 activities, you will receive a certificate, which can contribute (with a reflection) towards your revalidation.   Both days combined can count to 15 hours of CPD.
