Safeguarding Training Lunch and Learn

This session will be delivered by an experienced Officer from the Met’s Modern Slavery and Child Exploitation team. It will provide an overview of modern slavery and exploitation in the UK, including the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course participants will have knowledge of the following:

1. An overview of modern slavery and exploitation in the UK, including the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
2. Understanding of the signs, indicators and control methods of exploitation and the typologies of modern slavery.
3. Identifying modern slavery, and understanding what to do when they have identified it.
4. Consideration of a case study on organ trafficking in the UK.
5. There will also be opportunities to ask your own questions about modern slavery.
